Gillespie Park is a charming and affordable historic neighborhood in Sarasota. It is culturally diverse and within walking distance of downtown. The community park is one of the largest recreational facilities in Sarasota County. Through a series of grants and persistence by determined residents, the park has grown to include a butterfly garden, a children’s reading room and a dog park.
